Cholan College of Education which is situated on the outskirts of Kanchipuram on the Kanchipuram – Tripathi high road is unique in establishing institutions for the betterment of this rural area. Kanchipuram district is neighboring district to Chennai, the capital of TN with aim and ennobling vision of creating leaders of the future by imparting holistic education in an atmosphere of excellence. This institution is governed by Dr. T. Sanjeevee Jayram, M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Phil., P.hd., Founder and Correspondent. Its primary importance to train teachers and to prepare the dynamic, youths in the nation and to build holistic, physical, intellectual, moral and spiritual development of each child in their field. The institution focus holistic education to produce well qualified teachers with highly proficient skills.

In this case Cholan College of Education felt the need of providing qualified teachers to work in the Education institutions in and around Kanchipuram. It also aims to providing quality education to the trainee teachers so that in turn they will impart the right kind of education to the wards of the present generation of this area.

The Secondary traning [ B.Ed - II Years and M.Ed - II Years ] courses are recognized by the SRC-NCTE in Gazette of India, Part III and Approved by the Department of Higher education, State Government of Tamil Nadu in it's Order G.O.Ms No. 338 Higher Education (E1) Dept. dated 23-09-2005.
